Political Ad Response

The political ad showed the Aristotelian appeals of pathos, ethos and logos.

Pathos (emotional appeal)
The ad contained pathos by showing businesses going under and people losing their jobs. That emotionally appeals to people because most people can relate to themselves or someone else they knew losing their job or having their business fail.

Ethos (credibility)
It showed ethos by having Arnold Schwarzenegger approve the message. Arnold Schwarzenegger has credibility because he was a movie star and has been governor for the past few years.

Logos (logic and reason)
The ad didn't show logos because it didn't contain any statistics.

  2. On time!

Like I said before, great job with your widgets and layout.

Please revise your logos analysis...statistics are only one aspect of logos. How does the commercial try to rationalize the choice of one candidate over another? How do they try to make Schwarzeneggar seem like the logical choice?

    Keep up the good work!
