Oxidized Music
Music is like the air I breathe
Without it I cannot survive
My iPod is like an oxygen tank
In it is the essential element of life
If you take my music
You might as well suffocate me because
Music is like the air I breathe
Without it I cannot survive

if you like my poems let them
by E. E. Cummings
if you like my poems let them
walk in the evening,a little behind you
then people will say
"Along this road i saw a princess pass
on her way to meet her lover(it was
toward nightfall)with tall and ignorant servants."
A. The point of view is first person and the speaker is the poet, E.E. Cummings.
B. The situation is someone is walking down the street and sees Cummings poems and they are so wonderful he describes them as a princess on her way to meet her lover.
C.The main theme of the poem is conveyed by the poet, Cummings, who is trying to say you should accept his poems because they will follow you anyways.
D."if you like my poems let them walk in the evening,a little behind you"
This alliteration is significant because it gives the poems the ability to walk. It makes it so the poems can follow you and you cannot escape them.

If I Could Give a Gift to Anyone.....
If I could give a gift to anyone it would be to my grandma. She is special to me because she always gives at Christmas time and any other time of the year even when it isn't even asked for. The gift I would give her would be a house. She deserves a house because she doesn't do much for herself while she gives to others and she should get something in return for a change. I chose a house because she has always wanted a house for herself but she's never actually had a house of her own.

Propaganda

1) What ideas, information, or rumors does this artifact of propaganda attempt to spread?
The propaganda makes fun of when the U. S. flag was raised at Iwo Jima in World War two. It tries to say we won the war but did we really "win" the war. The U. S. and other countries, ally or not, lost millions of people all together.
2) What institution, cause, or person is it trying to help or hurt? Explain.
It is trying to hurt the government by saying we didn't really win the war and shouldn't go to war because we only lose thousands and millions of innocent men.
3) What do you think is the most persuasive element of this propaganda? Why?
The most persuasive element of the propaganda is the scythe in the soldiers' hands instead of the flag. It shows the murderous side of war and is very convincing to me.

Non-Plot Questions
The difference between plot and non-plot is plot requires retelling of the story and non-plot asks for analysis. For example, "where did the boys get stranded?" would be a plot question and "what is the signifigance of the boys being standed on an island?"
The Last Season by Phil Jackson Non-plot Questions
1) Why is the relationship between Phil and Kobe important to the story?
2) How does the conflict betwwen Shaq and Kobe add interest to the story?
3)Why does the author talk about his time away from the team, even though the book is about the basketball season?
4)Analyze the importance of the title of the novel?
5)What is the signifigance of Kobe's rape trial?

"Stan" by Eminem
The song is the first one in my play list at the bottom of the page. The song is about one of Eminem's fans writing him letters but getting no response and he ends up killing himself and his wife by driving over a bridge into the water. It is one of the best songs according to Rolling Stone Magazine. The purpose of the song was to silence his critics that believe he condoned drugs and violence. In the song he says "What's this you said about how you like to cut your wrists too? I say that stuff just clownin' dogg - how messed up is you? This song was also about dealing with his new found fame in the rap business. It also showed his music was not just about making fun of other celebrities but also creating serious songs like this one and one of his new releases called "Beautiful."
